Dior Diorshow Pump ‘N’ Volume Mascara

IMG_1363

If you have been following me for a while, you'll know that I have been pretty loyal to L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Sculpt mascara for what seems like forever. I have tested out tons of high end mascaras, and for the most part I've found that drugstore mascara tends to work just as well. I need my mascara to be lengthening, volumizing, hold a curl and not transfer onto my skin (is that so much to ask for?). I am not a huge fan of waterproof mascara because it sucks when you actually try to wash it off, but waterproof formula has proven to be the only mascara that can hold a curl and not smudge... Until I got my hands on the new Dior mascara. It's. So. Good.

I have been testing this mascara out for about two weeks and continue to be impressed by the formula and packaging. It gives me everything I want out of a mascara, and it's not waterproof so it washes off pretty easily with an oil cleanser. My lashes stay curled all day, and I have actually gone to power fit yoga (where I sweat, a lot) in this mascara and expected to walk out with black smudges all over, and there was literally not a single smudge.

The base of the tube is like any other mascara, but towards the bottom half it dips slightly and you can actually "pump" the mascara onto the brush while warming up the product. The brush grabs and coats every lash without getting clumpy, which I love. The formula is extremely buildable so you can layer it up for a more dramatic false lash effect. (Note: I took these photos around 6:30pm, and had applied only one coat that morning around 7:30am)
