Sunday Riley Overview

This post is long overdue, if you follow me on Instagram you'll already know I've been obsessed with Sunday Riley products for a while now. Whenever I try products this good, I feel the need to share with everyone.

Ceremic Slip Cleanser is the first Sunday Riley product I tried. It's described as 'a gel-based, foaming clay cleanser rich in vitamin C and essential oils'. It claims to purify skin, tighten pores, detoxify, support natural collagen and circulation, and help you achieve a flawless, “ceramic-smooth” complexion. My initial concern was: will this work well with my beloved Clarisonic? The answer is yes. And even better, it does everything it claims to do. After a few days I noticed my pores we much less visible, it cleansed my skin without making it feel stripped, and my skin looked more even and smooth. It is such a gentle yet effective cleanser. I have not stopped using it since, and will continue to repurchase this cleanser.

Good Genes Treatment is a brightening, multitasking, radiance treatment and mask that is meant to naturally brighten and improve radiance, texture, and circulation. 'Long term use will help restore damaged skin, reduce hyperpigmentation and scars, reduce the depth and number of lines and wrinkles, even out skintone, and increase skin firmness.' I initially purchased Good Genes because I had read about Sunday Riley's amazing flash-facial which basically consists of about 2 pumps of Ceremic Slip and 3 pumps of Good Genes (I like to use 2 pumps) which you keep on for 5-10 minutes and when you rinse it off you're left with flawless, glowing, and radiant skin. ALL. TRUE. I use this trick before any special occasion or if my skin is not looking its best. I have never been this blown away by one product. Good Genes will instantly make your skin look plump and vibrant. After using it for about a week I noticed a significant reduction in any hyperpigmentation, and increase in skin firmness. This product is seriously magic for your face, I can't recommend this one enough.

Luna Sleeping Night Oil is a 'next-generation retinoid oil to reduce pore size, improve appearance of damaged skin, and help fight wrinkles' and it does just that. I apply this product as the last step of my skincare routine every night. Don't let the retinol scare you off, I've been scarred (literally) by retinol before, but this product is a trans-retionol ester which basically means that it does everything a normal retinol does but it's extremely gentle on the skin. I don't know the exact science of this product, but apparently the cold pressed avocado and other ingredients in this product make it special because anything you layer underneath will absorb more efficiently. Sometimes I'll use a little bit of Good Genes with some Luna on top before I go to bed, and it's literally an overnight skin transformation. I massage about three drops of this  oil into my neck and face every night before bed.

Start Over Active Eye Cream is probably the only eye cream I'll ever use. Also, the bottle is huge so it seems like it will last forever too (and it has a pump!!!). This eye cream gel 'corrects the appearance of puffy eyes, dark circles, and damaged skin'. When applied it has a cooling effect that feels refreshing, and I love how quickly this eye cream absorbs. My under eyes have never felt so comfortably hydrated. It just does everything I want an eye cream to do.

Last but not least, the Effortless Breathable Tinted Primer. It comes in three shades, I use shade light. It is a 'sheer, lightweight primer that oxygenates and plumps the look of skin' and if you haven't noticed, everything Sunday Riley claims has been one thousand percent true for me. This primer has a slight tint, so I do tend to wear this alone with a little loose powder on top for a natural but polished look. I love how plump and glow-y my skin looks when I use this primer. I also use it as a regular primer under foundation and it works beautifully to extend makeup wear and create a smooth surface for foundation.

Loud Places

Last Friday I met up with the talented Leighton for a quick shoot before heading to dinner with some friends at Prato. Tip: get the pretzel-crusted calamari. _G4A5052 _G4A5062_2 _G4A5072 _G4A5083 _G4A5094 _G4A5176

Let It Happen

It's been months, I know, I'm the worst. But this is what I wore to brunch last sunday (I had a waffle topped with peaches and roasted nuts). These jeans have been my lazy day favorites as of late. And I love how a pair of mules can effortlessly dress up an outfit without being too much. Also I've been raving to everyone I know about the Sephora collection cream lip stains, they seriously last all day (touch ups are optional) and don't dry my lips out like other matte lip joints. Heavy Metal Heart

DSC_0206 DSC_0213 DSC_0222 DSC_0218 This outfit is a perfect example of what I would wear if I'm going out for HH or dinner straight from work. I've kept everything basically the same, but I got rid of my work blazer and changed the pants from black cropped trousers to leather pants (I do not wear leather pants to work. I totally would if I could though).
